Laparoscopic Uterine Suspension
The Laparoscopic uterine suspension procedure allows for great intraoperative visualization of supporting and surrounding tissues as well as a rapid recovery time. There have been reports of laparoscopic uterus suspension to the round ligaments, uterosacral ligaments, suture, and synthetic mesh suspension to the sacral promontory.
Although laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery leaves little scars, the body still needs time to heal. Keyhole surgery uterus recovery usually takes four to six weeks. If vaginal repair is done at the same time, however, the recovery period may be extended.
